Guide

About Extract pages

Extract pages saves a copy of just the pages you pick, leaving the original file alone. It is the quickest way to send someone the signature page, the one invoice from a monthly statement, or the three slides that matter.

Use it to pull pages out of a PDF, save a single page as its own PDF, or copy selected pages into a new file.

How to use it

  1. Choose the PDF.
  2. Type the Pages to extract, for example 4, 9-12.
  3. Press Extract and download the new file, named with -extracted added.

Good to know

  • Ranges can be written as 1-3, 5, 8- (to the end), odd or even.
  • The original file is never changed; you always get a new PDF.

Questions and answers

What is the difference between extracting and splitting?

Extract gives you one new PDF containing the pages you chose. Split cuts the whole document into several files.

Can I extract pages that are not next to each other?

Yes. List them with commas, such as 2, 5, 11-13, and they are saved in that order.

Can I extract only the odd or even pages?

Yes. Type odd or even into the pages box.

Do links and text stay selectable in the extracted pages?

Yes. The pages are copied, not turned into pictures, so text can still be searched and selected.
