Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of the PDF Toaster website and its tools (the "service"). By using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The service

PDF Toaster provides tools to edit, convert and organise PDF files. The tools run in your web browser, on your own device: your files are not uploaded to us. The service is free to use. We may change, add or remove features at any time.

Your files and your responsibility

  • Your documents remain yours. Because they are processed on your device, we never receive, see or store them.
  • You are responsible for the documents you work on and for having the right to edit, convert or share them.
  • Keep your own copies of important documents. The service works on copies, but no software is free of errors.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service for anything unlawful, or to infringe anyone else's rights;
  • copy, reproduce, modify, distribute or create derivative works from the service, its code, design or content, except as the law expressly allows;
  • decompile, disassemble or reverse-engineer the service or attempt to derive its source code or methods, except to the extent the law expressly permits this despite this restriction;
  • scrape, crawl or collect content from the service by automated means, or use it to build, train or improve a competing product or an AI model;
  • frame or mirror the service, remove its notices, or present it as your own;
  • interfere with or overload the service, or try to get around its security measures.

Our rights

The service, including its software, design, text, graphics, logo and the name PDF Toaster, is owned by us and protected by copyright and other laws. Using the service gives you no rights in it beyond using it as these terms allow. Some components are open-source software used under their own licences; the notices those licences require are distributed with the software.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its results will be exactly what you expect. Please check important documents before you rely on them.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continuing to use the service means you accept it. We may suspend or stop the service, or your access to it, at any time, for example if these terms are broken.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
